Part 1: Introduction & Interview (4–5 minutes)
Topic: Technology and Work
Examiner: What kind of technology do you use in your daily life?
Candidate: I use several devices and apps every day. My smartphone is the most important tool—I use it for communication, planning, studying, and even for exploring automation tools like Notion or Trello. I also use my laptop for programming and learning about e-commerce technologies.
Examiner: Do you think technology makes life easier or more complicated?
Candidate: I believe it depends on how we use it. For me, technology makes life easier because it helps me organize tasks, learn online, and save time. But if people become too dependent on it, they might feel stressed or distracted.
Examiner: Would you like to work in a technology-related field in the future?
Candidate: Yes, definitely! I’m very interested in working in tech projects related to e-commerce and automation. I enjoy creating systems that make businesses work more efficiently, and I think this is a growing field full of opportunities.
Part 2: Long Turn (3–4 minutes)
Task: Describe a job that you think will be important in the future because of technology. You should say:
What the job is
What skills are needed for this job
Why it will be important in the future
Candidate:I would like to talk about the job of an AI systems developer.
As artificial intelligence becomes more advanced, companies will need people who can design and maintain AI tools for different industries. This includes e-commerce, healthcare, education, and many others. AI systems developers work with large datasets and machine learning models to create smart tools that can analyze information, automate tasks, or assist in decision-making.
To do this job, you need skills in programming, data analysis, and critical thinking. Creativity is also important because AI solutions often require innovative ideas. Good communication skills are useful too, since developers need to work in teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
This job will be essential in the future because AI can make processes faster, reduce human error, and support better business strategies. As more companies move online, AI experts will help them stay competitive. I hope to be involved in such projects myself, maybe building tools for smart e-commerce platforms.
Part 3: Discussion (4–5 minutes)
Topic: Technology and the Future of Work
Examiner: How is artificial intelligence changing the workplace today?
Candidate: AI is already changing the way many companies operate. For example, in customer service, chatbots can answer questions 24/7. In logistics, AI helps to optimize delivery routes. In e-commerce, recommendation engines suggest products to customers. This improves efficiency and saves time and money.
Examiner: Do you think AI will replace human workers completely in the future?
Candidate: I don’t think AI will completely replace humans, but it will change the types of jobs we do. Routine tasks may disappear, but new roles will appear, such as AI trainers, automation consultants, and data ethicists. People will need to learn new skills and adapt, which might be challenging but also exciting.
Examiner: What can schools and universities do to prepare students for this future?
Candidate: They should focus more on digital literacy, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. It’s important to teach students how to work with technology, not just how to use it. For example, schools could introduce coding, AI basics, and teamwork on tech projects. Internships and online courses can also help students get practical experience.
