Dreams / IELTS Speaking task 1

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

• Do you often have dreams?

Yes, I do. Dreams are something on the verge between sleeping and awakening. Every morning, I have some images coming into my mind before I finally wake up. I don't take such dreams seriously.

• Do you usually remember your dreams?

It happens sometimes. I think that dreams are of three types, as I see it. The light dreams that happen every morning do not make much sense and I do not remember them. There are also dreams that are more serious, but difficult to remember. And the third type dreams are very vivid, meaningful and memorable. I remember them for many years.

• Do you think we can learn something from dreams?

No, I don't. I think that dreams are not to learn something. I think that dreams are to process some information with a free imagination, that allows a person to make a more accurate decision.

• Do you share your dreams with other people?

Yes, I do. Sometimes I share dreams with the closest people, because my life is connected with their lives, and my dream can somehow be connected with them.

• Do you think dreams affect life?

I think that dreams affect life just as much as any other information does.
