Finally, I managed to find the perfect summer sneakers

A few months ago, I came to Montenegro for a vacation and quickly realized that I needed new summer sneakers. I started searching local stores to find something comfortable and suitable for long walks along the coast.


In Montenegro, there are several well-known shoe store chains, such as Sport Vision, Buzz, Planeta Sport, and Office Shoes. Each of these stores offers a wide selection of sneakers from famous brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Reebok, and New Balance. I also noticed that some lesser-known but high-quality European brands can be found.


As for prices, I noticed that sneakers in Montenegro are somewhat more expensive than in Russia but more affordable than in most Western European countries and America. For example, a pair of Nike sneakers that costs about 100 euros in Montenegro can cost up to 120 euros in Germany or France, while in Russia, it might be available for around 90 euros.


One thing I discovered is that only a few online stores in Montenegro offer home delivery. However, the stores are very accommodating and allow you to try on several pairs of sneakers before deciding to buy. This is very helpful because I can ensure comfort and fit before making a final decision.


When buying sneakers in Montenegro, here are a few tips on how to behave and what to say:


Be patient and polite - Salespeople are generally very friendly and willing to help, but patience and politeness will surely help you get the best service.

Ask for discounts or promotions - It's not uncommon for stores to have seasonal discounts or special promotions. Don't hesitate to ask the salesperson if there are any current discounts.


Check the return policy - Before making a purchase, inquire about the return and exchange policy. This is important in case the sneakers don't suit you after a few days of wearing them.


Use the local language when possible - Although most salespeople speak English, they will be pleased if you try to communicate in the local language. Phrases like "Dobar dan" (Good day), "Molim vas" (Please), and "Hvala" (Thank you) can leave a positive impression.


In the end, I managed to find the perfect summer sneakers that were comfortable and reasonably priced. The shopping experience in Montenegro was pleasant, and I would definitely recommend anyone to visit local shoe stores when in this beautiful country.

Customer: Thanks for the information. Do you have a return policy in case they don’t fit after a few days?

Salesperson: Yes, of course. You can return them within 14 days with the receipt and in the original packaging.

Customer: Great, that works for me. I think I'll take the Nike sneakers. Can you pack them for me?

Salesperson: Of course, I'll pack them right away. Would you like to pay by card or cash?

Customer: By card, please.

Representative: Of course, that’s not a problem. We can send you both sizes, and you can try them and decide which one fits better.

Customer: Thank you! When could the delivery be?

Representative: We can arrange delivery as early as tomorrow. What time would be convenient for you?

Customer: Is 5 PM okay?

Representative: Sure, we can arrange that. To which address should we deliver?

Customer: The address is 15 Jadranska Obala Street. The delivery person can call me when they are nearby. You can tell them to wait by the kiosk near the coast.

Representative: Understood. The delivery person will call you when they are near your address. Is this phone number good for contact?

Customer: Yes, this number is fine.

Representative: Alright, the delivery will be around 5 PM tomorrow. The delivery person will call you when they are close and wait for you by the kiosk. Thank you for your order!

(The next day, a conversation with the delivery person)

Delivery Person: Good afternoon, this is the delivery person. I’m near your address, by the kiosk.

Customer: Good afternoon! I'm coming right away.

(A few minutes later)

Customer: Good afternoon, I ordered the sneakers.

Delivery Person: Good afternoon! Here, I have both sizes, 42 and 43. You can try them and see which one fits better.

(The customer tries on the sneakers)

Customer: I think I'll take size 42. Can I pay by card?

Delivery Person: Yes, of course. You can pay by card or cash, whichever you prefer.

Customer: I’ll pay by card, thank you.

(The customer pays)

Delivery Person: Thank you! Here is your receipt and change.

Customer: Thank you very much! Have a nice day!

Delivery Person: Have a nice day! Enjoy your new sneakers!
