What drink would you recommend for this hot weather?

Updated: Nov 26

Džon (Britanac): Zdravo! Kakvo prelepo mesto, zar ne? Savršeno za uživanje u piću pored mora.

John (Briton): Hi there! What a beautiful place, isn't it? Perfect for a nice drink by the sea.

Ivan (Rus): Zdravo!

Ivan (Russian): Hi! Yes, it’s absolutely stunning. What drink would you recommend for this hot weather?

Džon: Pa, lično volim dobro pivo, posebno kraft pivo. Postoji toliko mnogo varijacija – svetlo, tamno, hmeljasto, sladno.

John: Well, personally, I love a good beer, especially craft beer. There are so many varieties – light, dark, hoppy, malty. Each one is a unique experience. Brewing and enjoying beer is almost an art form.

Služe i odlična kraft piva.

Ivan: Craft beer is indeed quite interesting. You know, here in our town in Montenegro, there’s a new bar on the steps by the sea that’s just like an English pub. They serve some great craft beers too.

Džon: To zvuči sjajno!

John: That sounds amazing! I’ll definitely have to check it out. But what about you? What’s your go-to drink in this heat?

Ivan: Well, many people here in the Mediterranean prefer wine. White wine with ice is particularly refreshing and delicious on a hot day. It’s quite popular around here.

Džon: Belo vino sa ledom, kažeš? To zaista zvuči osvežavajuće. Moram i to da probam.

John: White wine with ice, you say? That does sound refreshing. I might have to give that a try as well.

Ivan: Yes, you should! It’s a great way to enjoy wine when it’s so warm outside.

Džon: Hvala na savetu, Ivane. Uvek je dobro istraživati nova pića i tradicije.

John: Thanks for the tip, Ivan. It’s always good to explore new drinks and traditions.

Ivan: Absolutely, John. It’s all about enjoying the moment and the flavors. Cheers to that!

Džon: Apsolutno. Znaš, moja žena i ja smo nedavno bili u Italiji i bio sam iznenađen kako tamo ljudi piju vino svaki dan.

John: Absolutely. You know, my wife and I recently visited Italy, and I was amazed at how people there drink wine every day. It turns out this tradition goes back to ancient times.

Ivan: Da, Italijani stvarno vole vino.

Ivan: Yes, Italians really love their wine. It's part of their culture. And what's surprising is that they have been drinking wine daily for thousands of years.

John: I've heard it's because wine has beneficial properties. In particular, red wine is rich in antioxidants.

Pomažu u poboljšanju cirkulacije i podržavaju zdravlje srca.

Ivan: Exactly. Antioxidants, like resveratrol, can indeed be beneficial for health. They help improve circulation and support heart health.

John: And what impressed me the most was the quality of Italian wine. We tried wines from different regions, but Sicilian wines, especially those grown on the slopes of Mount Etna, are simply exquisite.

Ivan: Slažem se. Vina sa Etne imaju poseban ukus zahvaljujući vulkanskim zemljištima. Ta zemljišta daju vinu jedinstvene mineralne note.

Ivan: I agree. Wines from Etna have a special taste due to the volcanic soils. These soils give the wine unique mineral notes.

John: Yes, and I read that such wines are not only delicious but also healthy. For example, they contain more trace elements, making them even more appealing.

Ivan: That's true. Wines from volcanic slopes are indeed rich in minerals. Plus, winemaking in such regions is often done using traditional methods, which also positively affects the quality.

Džon: Pa, posle ovog razgovora, definitivno moram da probam više sicilijanskih vina. To je zaista izvanredno iskustvo.

John: Well, after this conversation, I definitely need to try more Sicilian wines. It's truly an amazing experience.

Ivan: Definitivno vredi.

Ivan: It definitely is. It's like a little journey in every glass. To Italian wine!

John: To Italian wine! It was nice chatting with you, Ivan. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Ivan: I tebi, Džone. Lepo se provedi ovde u Crnoj Gori!

Ivan: You too, John. Have a great time here in Montenegro!

Džon: Živeli! Bilo je lepo razgovarati s tobom. Uživaj u ostatku dana.

John: Cheers! It was great chatting with you. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Ivan: Takođe, Džone. Uživaj u svom vremenu ovde u Crnoj Gori!

Ivan: You too, John. Have a great time here in Montenegro!
