Part 1: Introduction & Interview (4–5 minutes)

Topic: Work Environment and Lifestyle

Examiner: Would you like to work in a startup?

Candidate: Yes, absolutely. I think startups are exciting because they often work on new ideas and fast-moving projects. There’s more flexibility and room to grow, which suits my personality.

Examiner: Have you ever worked or studied from a beautiful location?

Candidate: Not yet, but I would love to! I imagine working from a quiet place near nature or by the sea could help me stay relaxed and inspired. I think it’s one of the biggest advantages of remote work.

Examiner: What are the benefits of working from home?

Candidate: Working from home saves time and money, especially because there’s no commute. It also gives me more control over my environment, which helps me concentrate. Plus, I can design my own routine based on when I’m most productive.

Part 2: Long Turn (3–4 minutes)

Task: Describe the kind of job you would like to do in a modern startup, especially if it involves AI and remote work.

You should say:

• What challenges and benefits this job would have

Candidate: I would love to work as a workflow designer or automation consultant in a tech startup that uses artificial intelligence to improve digital tools. For example, helping businesses set up smart systems for customer support, e-commerce, or internal tasks using platforms like Latenode or Zapier.

Ideally, I would work remotely, from home or from inspiring places like a mountain village or a sunny island. As long as there’s good internet, I think changing the environment can really boost creativity and motivation.

This kind of work offers many advantages — flexibility, independence, and the chance to work with innovative people around the world. It also teaches a lot, because startups move fast and require you to learn every day.

But there are also challenges. For example, it’s sometimes difficult to separate work from personal life, especially when working from home. Also, remote teams need excellent communication skills and good time management.

Still, I think the benefits are stronger, and I really like the idea of building useful tools and working in a creative, international team.

Examiner: Why are more people choosing to work remotely, especially in startups?

Candidate: Because technology makes it possible, and people want more freedom. In startups, remote work is common because teams are often international, and the culture is more flexible. Also, remote work helps reduce stress from commuting and allows people to live in more affordable or beautiful places.

Examiner: What are the risks of working remotely in tech companies?

Candidate: One risk is burnout. When you work from home, it’s easy to work too much and forget to take breaks. There’s also a risk of feeling isolated if there’s no regular communication. And startups can be unstable—things change fast, so it’s important to be adaptable.

Examiner: How can companies support employees who work remotely?

Candidate: They can set clear goals, have regular video calls, and create virtual spaces for informal conversation. Good tools for project management, like Notion or Slack, are also helpful. And they should encourage a balance between work and rest, maybe by promoting wellness activities or flexible schedules.
